Volkswagen myVW app is Now Smartwatch Compatible

February 5th, 2026 by

For younger readers, it may be hard to imagine a time when cars, trucks, and SUVs did their thing and computers and cell phones did theirs, with little connection between the two. The first link came with a safety purpose: Bluetooth hands-free phone connections. This eliminated the need to hold the phone to your ear while driving, which quickly became a safety concern as personal cell phone use became more common.

Next came the vehicle app, which could communicate with your vehicle, display information, and interact on a smartphone screen. Bud Brown Volkswagen is pleased to announce that the myVW app has taken things a step further by integrating with smartwatches for the first time. Owners can now access the most frequently used myVW features directly from their Apple Watch and Wear OS smartwatches.
