Stepping up to the brand new SEL R-R-Line Turbo brings those figures to 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque for a GTI-like SUV experience.  

Fuel Economy and Cargo Space 

The EPA estimates the Tiguan will achieve 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway when equipped with AWD, and 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway with FWD. Behind the rear seats, you’ll find 33.8 cubic feet of space that expands to 69.8 cubic feet. with the rear seats folded. This gives owners some of the most interior volume of any SUV in the class.  

How Much Can the Tiguan Tow? 

When you’re ready to tow, front-wheel drive models can handle 1,500 lbs, and 4Motion models can tow up to 1,800 lbs, both when properly equipped, of course.  

The Tiguan Offers Great Tech Features 

All Tiguan models get the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro digital instrument cluster and a standard 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Moving up to the top-of-the-line SEL R-Line Turbo, though, gets owners a 15-inch system. All models feature a special voice control system and an A.I. voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, up to six 45-watt fast-charging USB-C ports, and a 15-watt wireless charging pad.

Last but certainly not least in the lineup of vehicles are the 2026 three-row Atlas and the 5-seat Atlas Cross Sport. Buyers who need three rows of seats will find the Atlas to be a perfect vehicle at $40,785, while the coupe-like Atlas Cross Sport offers similar utility with 5 seats and a price of $39,775. Both models come standard with front-wheel drive and can be optioned with 4Motion all-wheel drive.

Powering the Atlas line is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 269 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission for an optimal balance of performance and efficiency.  

How Much Can Both Atlas Models Tow? 

The maximum towing capacity for both the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport is 5,000 lbs. when properly equipped.  

Cargo Space 

The Atlas offers owners 20.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, which increases to 55.5 cubic feet with the third row folded. Folding down the second row makes the Atlas one of the largest vehicles in its class with a total of 96.6 cu.ft. While the Atlas Cross Sport doesn’t have three rows, it, too, is one of the largest SUVs in its class, with 40.3 cu.ft. of cargo space. behind the second row and 77.6 cu.ft. with the second row folded.
