Volkswagen BUDDe is The Best Concept of 2016

We have seen the future of mobility – and it walked away with an award!

At the 15th Annual North American Concept Vehicle of The Year Awards, Volkswagen received 2016 Concept Truck of The Year for the BUDD-e Concept. Awarded at the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan, the award was given by a panel of judges looking for a concept that epitomizes style, overall architecture, propulsion and innovation.

Volkswagen scored highly with the BUDD-e Concept with a perfect combination of heritage and modern elements. A nod to the past to the original Volkswagen Bus, it features a 101 kWh battery with an estimated range of up to 233 miles, gesture control version 2.0 enabling intuitive operation of interior and exterior features and seamless communications with smart home and car technology, and infotainment technologies that turn travel into a fully interactive, intuitive experience.

Would it be great if this concept becomes a real live vehicle? Bud Brown Volkswagen thinks so. Maybe we will sell it someday and, if so, our customers will be the first to know!
