“Think Small” Again With The Volkswagen Taos

October 12th, 2020 by

Are you ready to “think small” again?

Volkswagen is an expert in small vehicles since its arrival in the U.S.A. in 1949. That was when every vehicle sold at the time was larger. Today, we have not forgotten our customers who continue to “think small.” Especially, these days where the Tiguan, Atlas Cross Sport, and Atlas dominate the roads of Kansas and Missouri.

Coming next year is our return to “small” – the Volkswagen Taos.

It is a new small SUV designed for those who want to stay active while commuting – or staying home to work – without the trappings of a larger vehicle.

The Taos will be smaller than the Tiguan and the new ID.4, but it won’t be a lesser vehicle. The new 158-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine will feature a variable geometry turbocharger. This is technology you would find in high performance models costing thousands of dollars more. The result will be both outstanding fuel economy and driving characteristics.

Two transmissions will be available. An eight-speed automatic is available for front-wheel-drive models. Choose the Volkswagen 4Motion all-wheel-drive system and will get the DSG dual-clutch gearbox.

The new Taos will provide excellent value, with outstanding fuel economy, interior space, tech, and available driver assistance features. It is scheduled to go on sale in the summer of 2021.
