7-Passenger CUV

Coming soon will be a Volkswagen no one thought was possible.

What is it? It will be a three-row, seven passenger crossover/SUV made specifically for the U.S. market.

It will be built at the Volkswagen Chattanooga, Tennessee plant, alongside the Passat. It will share the same platform as the Passat, which will accommodate an angular body, as seen on the Cross Coupe GTE Concept shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. This new addition to our family will feature a lot of technology and engineering never seen before on any Volkswagen.

The concept featured a plug-in hybrid V6 driveline that is switchable between drive modes. It also featured two TFT screens – one for the instrumentation, the other for the infotainment system. Both screens can be set to the driver’s personal preferences. The design will be the latest in angular art – something you will see on new Volkswagens going forward.

There is a whole lot more that is not known about this new seven-passenger crossover/SUV. There is no definite information on whether any of the Cross Coupe GTE Concept’s features will make it into production – as much as the staff at Bud Brown Volkswagen thinks it’s really going to be great! There is plenty of time – about 18 months, late 2016 before it arrives at Kansas City’s source for Volkswagen, Bud Brown Volkswagen.
