2019 Volkswagen Arteon Preview | Bud Brown Volkswagen | Olathe, KS

The Volkswagen Arteon is coming to America!

The sleek new four-door coupé was introduced almost a year ago in Europe to positive reviews. At the Chicago Auto Show, the same enthusiasm welcomed the new Volkswagen flagship car to North America.

The Arteon will take place of the CC, but it offers much more in terms of passenger and cargo space, thanks to its fastback roofline and large hatchback opening. The result is improved rear headroom and a more adjustable seatback that reclines. Plus, a longer wheelbase – 111.9 inches – helps to not only provide more passenger space in the rear, but to improve ride quality for everyone to enjoy the road.

Style is front and center in the new Arteon.  The front-end styling makes the Arteon look like it’s going somewhere with a purpose.  Viewed in profile the elegant lines slice through the air with little resistance.  From the rear three quarter view, it has the power and elegance of German cars costing two or three times as much.

The Arteon represents a new kind of car for enthusiasts and families. There have been four-door hatchbacks before in our past, but nothing quite like the sleek and sporty Arteon. Bud Brown Volkswagen is eager to bring this vehicle in for our discriminating Kansas City area customers.

Our new premium four-door hatchback will offer a more comprehensive standard feature listing than any Volkswagen ever. Standard features on the Arteon include 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, full LED headlights, Front Assist, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, and DCC adaptive damping, KESSY keyless access and push-button start, 3-zone Climatronic automatic climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Volkswagen Car-Net App-Connect technology that offers compatible smartphone integration with the three major platforms—Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink.

Safety will be the most important piece of this all-new car. A rearview camera is standard, along with Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert. Available driver assistance features include: Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go; active Lane Departure Warning; High Beam Control; Parking Steering Assistant including Park Distance Control; and Overhead View Camera.

Underneath the hood is a 268-horsepower 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This more powerful version of our best engine is paired with a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and available 4Motion all-wheel drive.  Fuel economy has yet to be announced but being a Volkswagen, you won’t be stopping to fill up very often.

The all new Arteon should arrive at our showroom in the first half of 2019. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
