Volkswagen ID.Buzz Named To Car & Driver 10Best

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz continues to change the EV narrative. It isn’t a super speedy sedan or SUV. The Buzz is a love letter to a historic vehicle that is beloved by millions, the VW bus. Car and Driver tests all of the latest new models for the year and compiles their annual 10Best list for each vehicle category. No car can have an MSRP higher than $110,000. Volkswagen has 21 total 10Best list appearances, including 19 for the Golf and GTI, the Touareg, and now the ID.Buzz.

Price, Trim Levels, and Safety Features 

The ID.Buzz has a base MSRP of $61,545 and is available in five different trim levels: Pro S, Pro S Plus, Pro S Plus with 4Motion, 1st Edition, and 1st Edition with 4Motion. All models get IQ.Drive, a smart driver assistance system that includes Travel Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Active Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, Front Assist, Emergency Assist, and Lane Assist.  

Battery Power and Performance 

Every ID.Buzz receives a 91-kWh battery pack that delivers 282 horsepower for rear-wheel drive models and 335 horsepower for models equipped with 4Motion all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive models will be able to travel up to 243 miles on a single charge, with the 4Motion model going 231 miles between charges.  

Fabulous Features 

Unlike the European version, the US ID.Buzz comes standard in the longer wheelbase, allowing for seating up to 7 passengers and all of their stuff via three rows of seats. A 14-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system allows all in the ID.Buzz to hear your favorite music or podcasts perfectly. Owners will love the configurable 30-color ambient lighting setup. Drivers will be able to take advantage of a head-up display system with a set of cameras that contribute to a 360-degree viewing angle to see all around the vehicle. The standard infotainment system is a 12.9-inch touchscreen display.
